Put Excellence Into All You Do

Philippians 4:8 (NIV): Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

 When God was creating the world, at every point, the scripture noted that everything was good.

And when He got to the making and creation of man, He made the man be like him. Therefore, everything you do should always have the ‘everything was good’ at the end of any of your project whether in business or job.

Excellence is a virtue that has a Christian the Bible said we should add to diligence after diligence has been added to our faith.

2 Peter 1:5; “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;”

The Bible talked about Daniel how excellence was found in him. This excellence was not a fluke or a one-time thing. It is his character.

Daniel 6:3; “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.”

When you practice excellence long enough, it will become your character. It naturally becomes an everyday thing that you do without a push.

You can’t afford to live your life in a shoddy way. That time has passed. Recently, limits are being pushed especially with the evolving of tech and science. And everyone strives for excellence, if not, your invention no matter how sweet it sounds to the ear, will be left in favour of what meets the human needs.

This excellence goes with diligence, and it is hard work so you would have to keep working at it until it becomes what you do and engraved into your values.

In my opinion, without excellence, there’s no value. What will be the use of your values, if they lack an excellent delivery? Imagine the iPhone being shoddy and yet Steve Jobs claiming it is for those with styles and class. It will not just make any sense to you. That is why they pay detailed attention to everything that carries the ‘Apple’ brand.

The same applies to all the major and successful brands that you know. Whether you are looking at the body of Christ to see if you can find any, we have plenty of them.

And we are not just talking about Pastors who have congregations but also they’re a household name because of the work they’ve put into building their personality. And that is how they are building excellence into all they do which ultimately defines how successful they are or become.

Someone rightly defined success as imparting the world with the investment of your personality.

As you plan for the rest of your life, invest in developing your personality into a brand known for excellence.
