Doing Things God's Way 

In our theme verse below, there's the story of Cain and Abel, how God accepted one offering and rejected the other. 

Genesis 4:3 - 5
And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

If we take the verse at the surface meaning, a lot of us will think God was being unjust. Our God is a just God. 

God specifically asked them to bring sin offering and sin offering can only be done by blood and vegetables don't have blood. Can you begin to see what happened? 

No wonder God asked him if he had done what was asked, wouldn't his offering be accepted? [Genesis 4:6]

You cannot do things your way and expect to get God's reward. No! It has to be done Gods way. There's always a prescribed order. 

The scripture recorded the instruction He gave to Moses and to the workmen specifics of whom to work with and whose responsibility it is to do certain task. 

You will see same when He told Noah to build the ark. He gave him specification to the tiniest detail. 

If you want to enjoy God's blessing, you must get and understand what He is demanding from you. If you do it your own way, you won't get His result. Come to think of it, He is wiser than you. He's wiser than men. 

For instance, He asked you to give a particular amount of money and because of your personal challenges, you decided to give what's more comfortable and convenient for you, you will get your result. But you will miss out of His blessing. Or He asked you to give your phone and you sold your phone and take some part to church. Remember, God cannot be mocked. Whatsoever you sow that shall you reap.

The instruction here is not just about money but everything; those times the Spirit prompted you to pray that you ignored, when He asked you to call someone and you refused or when you decide to obey your friend and reject His wisdom; all these count as doing things your own way.

Do you remember David bringing the ark of God into Israel [2 Samuel 6]? And how it killed the guys that tried to support it from falling [verses 6 - 8]? However, that same ark blessed the man, Obed-edom, that they kept it in his house. 

Thank God David found out the reason why and Gods instruction concerning the ark. 

Do things God's way today and begin to experience His unending grace and prosperity in your life. 

All things will work together for your good. 

As a Christian, you can never be disadvantaged. When Jesus walked the face of the earth, His works were done by the power of the Holy Ghost. He was always talking about the will of the father.

And when He left, He made it clear that He will not leave us as orphans. He sent us the Holy Spirit. And the scripture says the Holy Spirit is or ever present help on times of need; He will guide is into all truth. 

So, how could you be disadvantaged in life with the Holy Spirit as your extra ordinary strategist? 

No way! 

It does not matter what is happening to or with you. It doesn't matter what has happened to you; all things work together for your advantage. At the end of the matter, you will come out the winner, more victorious. No wonder the bible says we are more than conquerors. Another versions puts it that we have an overwhelming victory in Christ Jesus.[Romans 8:37 NLT]

This is what Paul knows that could made him say 'none of these things moved me'. He understands the anointing that's at work in him. 

This is what Functioned in Joseph when he was sold into slavery. This same was present in the life of David when he was just a shepherd boy. 

'Greater is He that is in you than He tht is in the world and you've overcome the world and its system with your faith'.

So, whatever challenges you're facing today, say to yourself none of these things move me because greater is He that's in me. All things work together for me, I am coming out a champion. Then ask God what He wants you to do in that situation. 

When you pray like this, with the word of God, the anointing wells up on the inside of you and causes the supernatural to happen. He will turn the forces of nature to come favour you. 

Be encouraged by the word of God is Isaiah 45:1. Put your name there and live in this reality today. 

And I say, all things will work out for your good, for your favour as for your advantage. It doesn't matter what the factors against you are, if you have the courage to trust God that it will turn out for your good, your testimony will abound.

If you will only let Him help you. Don't hit the rock when He ask you to speak to it and don't hit it twice if He says you should hit it once.
