The Evidence Of Your Pursuit Is Desire And How To Achieve It
Someone rightly said that the evidence of desire is pursuit.
"It is said that desire is a product of the will, but the converse is in fact true: will is a product of desire. - Denis Diderot"
There is no way you can honestly say you have a desire without the pursuit of it. If you are not chasing your desire, then all you have is a wish. And as they say, if wishes were horses beggars would have ridden on it. The sad truth is, they are not!
The world may start with the dreamers but if the dreamers do not wake up and go after their dreams, it will elude them. This is one reason why many are still in the same place they were many years ago - they remain in their place of dream!
Myle Munroe said in one of his book; the richest place is the grave because a lot of talent and ideas that were never realized have been buried there and many more will still be buried too (paraphrased).
The bible said something in this line about your dream; it says write the vision and make it plain that they may run that read it. You see! It didn't say; they may smile and laugh that reads it. Instead, they should run.
Your dream will not happen by itself. It is what it is: a dream! It may stir you up. It may give you some form of hope and joy but if you don't run with it, the supernatural will elude you.
Another reality about dream is that, if you don't do it, someone else will. Then you may be full of regret but you will dream again because that's how men were fashioned. They were fashioned to be creators.
It is good to note that the world is changing faster than it did many years ago, so those things that seem relevant today might not be tomorrow. Your dream may be the next phase or the next big thing this generation have ever seen.
You remember kodak film and how we do not need them today? Almost everybody is now a photo-expert because the snapchat is there,an iPhone is handy and Facebook is very available, even you can now get your degree from the comfort of your home.
Bill Gates did it, Richard Branson did it, Strive Masiyiwa did it. Many others have done so. Some people pursue their dreams to bring us where we are now, what will you do to take us into the next phase of living?
One thing is certain, a dreamer is better than those whose inspirations are stagnated. These ones do not have direction and guidance. But any dreamer who do not pursue after his desire will end up like one whose inspiration is suffering from stagnation.
Here a few reasons why many sit down, pamper and nurture their dreams on their seat without waking up to pursue it:
1. The fear of quitting when they start
2. The fear of failure
3. The thought of 'no capital'
4. No adequate information
5. They prefer their comfort zone
6. Lack of zeal
7. Laziness
8. The old friends or companies
9. Not knowing the difference between their wishes and dreams
10. Lack of knowledge
If you have a desire that you would like to transport from the dream realm to reality, follow the rules below:
1. Write down your desire
2. Schedule an execution time for your desire
3. Outline the execution plans in steps
4. Note the possible obstacles (this is to enable you prepare; like it is said 'anticipating evil )
5. Draw up a plan B execution plan (this doesn't mean lack of faith)
6. Ensure you follow through all the stated plans
7. Let your mentor or anyone you trust into what you plan to do and they should be in your follow up team
No matter the strategy or the desire of pursuit you tend to show forth, without the supernatural element, it may still elude you. When you receive a dream or gets the desire to birth anything, the first thing is to write it down then talk to God about it.
He has more information about the idea than you, after all He gave it to you. He has the master plan; the blue print. The Bible says He will show you secrets in hidden and dark places. This statement alone should make you conscious of the advantage you already have.
And everything He tells you, write them down. Read them and put them to work. Nothing works without action backing it up.
