God Is Done Blessing You
Ephesians 1:3 – Blessed be the God and father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly
places in Christ
As Christians, God is done blessing us. That may sound kind
of inappropriate in your ears. But that is the reality. He is not about to
start blessing you or creating your own blessing. He’s done so already.
And He did it in Christ Jesus.
Our opening scripture tells us that ‘God has blessed us with all
spiritual blessings…” If we read that right, then it actually means all
with nothing remaining.
Just as the Prophet Isaiah saw into the future and declared,
“with His stripes we are healed” and when
Peter would say the same thing, he said; “by
whose stripes ye were healed”. One
saw into the future and the other was already living in the reality of it. (Bible references: Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter
2:24)
The same way you were healed, that’s the same way you’re
blessed. It is the same way “God has given you all things that pertain unto
life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3)”. So, you are not of those who should
say “God will bless me” but “you are to declare the manifestation of these
blessings in your life”.
It is your responsibility to live in God’s best. It is your
responsibility to check the word of God to find out all the heavenly varieties
He has made available for you.
Live with the consciousness that you are the seed of
Abraham, and God has already willed the whole world to ‘Abraham and his seed’ (Galatians
3:29) and that seed is you.
When you read the
Bible and about the life of Isaac, you will find this same blessing that worked
in his father’s life present in everything he does. On one occasion, there was
famine and Isaac was about to run away to a greener place but God instructed
him to stay and farm in that same land. Guess what, the Bible recorded that ‘the
man waxed great and went forward…and the Philistines envied him’ (Genesis
26:13).
He didn’t have to do anything extra apart from listening and
acting on God’s instruction to remain in that land. If he has done something
else, he would have a different result that is different from what God wants
him to have.
How much do you want to enjoy God’s blessing in your life?
Listen and act on His word. That is the wisdom.
