How To Start Working On Your Vision

Habakkuk 2:2 – And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

The dictionary defined vision as the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.

You see; God has given you a creative ability just as he is a creator. He made you in His image and likeness. And because you’re like Him, you are also a creator like him.

Reading our opening scripture, the Prophet Habakkuk wrote about what God instructed him to do. He told him to ‘write the vision’.

There are two things you must do with a vision:

The first thing you do with a vision? You write it down. It is not enough to keep it inside your head and no matter how smart you think you are, there is a reason God wants you to write down the vision.

The second part of that verse told us where it should be written; ‘make it plain upon tables’.

Tables here could refer to anything we used in writing and that could be our smartphone, tablet, computer, iPad, notebook etc.

He didn’t say you should write it wherever you find. When you get a vision and decide to write it down, write it where you can always remember.

That is why it is important you always have something to write with wherever you are. It is your treasure and you should keep it close to your chest.

And again, God has a reason why you should write it upon tables.

Why didn’t God say you should write it and hide it somewhere. This is the last part of that verse; ‘that he may run that readeth it’.

That’s the crux of the whole matter. He wants other people to know what you are about to do. He wants the whole world to know that your small company has a great future. It will eventually serve as a compass in guiding you in life.

Because God knows that no matter what, the vision will come to pass. He doesn’t want you to think it was a mistake or some sheer luck when you start seeing the results.

If you go down the next verse of Habakkuk 2:3; “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.

You see, the Bible said “God cannot be mocked… (Galatians 6:7)”, that’s why writing down your vision should not just be a wonderful rudiment for you but also you should be committed and dedicated to the written vision because God is serious about bringing it to life.

What is that vision God has shown you about your life – family, health, finances, business, relationship etc., do your part by writing it down on a tablet so others can see it and run with it.

Don’t be like the man that lives his life full of uncertainty. He neither trusts God nor trusts the vision. He is one of those that use the popular phrase ‘whatever will be will be’.

God does not want you to live like that. He wants you to live to trust Him that whatever He said He would do, he will surely do.
