Shake Off Criticisms That Tries To Bring You Down

Acts 28:4 - And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

As you incline your ears to hear the Holy Spirit, the voice of men will be what they are – noise. And if God would send you messages through a man,  it won’t be with an accusation or with an intention to make you small.

And this always happens when things look like they’re not working out for you or you’re going through your own wilderness. Men are always quick to say that it is because you have little faith or committed a sin or something negative, that’s why you’re going through whatever it is you are going through.

Just like in our theme scripture, it happened to Paul when the serpent came out of the fire and bit him. They assumed the worst of his personality, only to turn around and call him a god. (Acts 28: 5-6)

So, shake off all criticisms that are not constructive. Focus on God. And don’t go jumping around to get approval from men concerning what God had asked you to do.

And when in trouble, talk to God and by His Spirit He will bring you words to save you.
