 Daniel 3: 16 -18:

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

It is amazing the boldness with which the three Hebrew boys responded to King Nebuchadnezzar after the king had told them what the consequences of their disobedience would be.

Yet, the boys, without mincing words, and without a second thought, told the kings that would rather disobey. Not only that they will disobey but they also trust that God will save them. And not only that, even if God didn't save them, they are ready to perish. Wow!

That made the king even more furious.

The boys were thrown into the fire. The fire was so hot that the men that threw them in were burnt. Now, that should have been the first miracle. They didn't burn.

And the Bible recorded; "...King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counsellors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?

You see, when you trust God, He will always show up.

Imagine the astonishment in the eyes of the people when the king called them out. The boys didn't come out with the rope in their hands. They were free, even in the fire. They didn't try to run out of the fire. They didn't try to beg for one more day. They didn't ask for favours. They chose to follow God, trust God and rely solely on Him.

And King Nebuchadnezzar shouted; “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

My word for you today is to decide to trust God. Start trusting Him today in the small things that matter. Don't wait when until judgement day. Don't let the judgement day catch you unprepared. Remember, the Bible says if you fail in the day of adversity, you are a weak specimen.

Have a great day!

Shalom!
