The Future of Your Enemy Is Already Settled
Often times, I hear people praying against their enemies,
and when I say people, I am not talking about just unbelievers. These include believers’ too, born again and filled with the Holyghost.
See what David said in our theme scripture below:
See what David said in our theme scripture below:
Psalms 63:9:
But those plotting to destroy me will come to ruin. They will go down into the depths of the earth (NLT)
Looking at our theme scripture, David didn’t say a prayer
for them here but emphasizing what has already been said concerning anyone that
decides to be your enemy. Their fate has already been decided many years ago.
Your prayer for your enemy, as Jesus told us (reference) is
to pray for them. You can see it here in Mathew 5:44 - "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"
God does not want any soul to perish. But if you try to be at peace with them and they refuse, leave them alone. Instead do as David did in verses 6, 7 & 8 of Psalms 63:
God does not want any soul to perish. But if you try to be at peace with them and they refuse, leave them alone. Instead do as David did in verses 6, 7 & 8 of Psalms 63:
Psalms 63:6-8
6When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches,
7For You have been my help,
And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
8My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.
Your focus should be on meditating on His word because He
has been your help.
God has already declared concerning His anointed that no
weapon fashioned against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). He said even when you go through
the fire, you won’t be burnt and when you go through the water, you won’t be
drowned (Isaiah 43:2). You know why? Because the Lord is my refuge and my fortress, whom
shall I fear Psalms 91:2). The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
(Psalms 27:1)
Reading Psalms 91 from verse one till the end, you will
understand that your enemies or anyone that decided to be an enemy is not a
factor. They may think they matter but just like the scripture said, if they
had known, they wouldn’t have killed the Lord of glory.
Let’s read Psalms 9, I have specially highlighted
some verses that should always be in your heart everyday for you to meditate on
till the words become a part of you.
Psalms 91 (AMP)
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”
For He will save you from the trap of the fowler,
And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions,
And under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.
You will not be afraid of the terror of night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction (sudden death) that lays waste at noon.
A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But danger will not come near you.
You will only [be a spectator as you] look on with your eyes
And witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as you watch safely from the shelter of the Most High].
Because you have made the Lord, [who is] my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your tent.
For He will command His angels in regard to you,
To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
They will lift you up in their hands,
So that you do not [even] strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and cobra;
The young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.
“Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him;
I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].
“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
“With a long life I will satisfy him
And I will let him see My salvation.”
Imagine this ---> They thought by killing Jesus Christ, they would end His
purpose. Only for the death to be what took us from darkness into Gods own
light. We became a kind of first fruit, we became Christ brother and
Christianity was born (James 1:18).
Don’t be afraid of the enemy. Don’t be afraid of what they
might do because greater is He that is in you. God has giving them to you as a
stepping stone to that next level in your life. It doesn’t matter where they may be; at
your office, living in the same compound or a family member – if they fail to
cease from their evil works, they shall go into the lower part of the earth
just as the theme scripture had said.
Imagine when Joseph being sold into slavery and his brothers
thought they’ve ended the dreamers vision, unknown to them they were helping to
bring the vision to life. And it doesn’t end there, when he got to Potiphars' house and God begin to bless the household because of him
(Genesis 39:3), yet another enemy rose up and this time, in the form of his masters’ wife (Genesis 39). He was thrown into prison! Phew! (Genesis 39:20)
(Genesis 39:3), yet another enemy rose up and this time, in the form of his masters’ wife (Genesis 39). He was thrown into prison! Phew! (Genesis 39:20)
You can imagine the thought went through
his mind. But God wasn’t through with him yet.
He became a prime minister right from prison. (Genesis 41: 38-45)
So, don’t ever be perturbed when they persecute you or try
to victimize you, God is your father and will never allow any arm come to you.
Everything they do will shoot you into the destiny that God has created for
you. They will be the one to help your vision come to pass. Someone rightly
said that if God wants to get something to you, even the devil obeys. How true!
Remember, don’t ever
try to pay them back or try to make them suffer. That is unnecessary. What you
need is to keep praising God and keep thanking Him for the beautiful life He
has given you. The devil hates it when you rejoice in the face of trial. He
gets mad. He throws many other tantrums but just ignore him; this one kills him
faster than anything else. You know he is full of pride, so ignoring him wounds his pride.
You see? The devil is not a factor. The enemy is not a
factor. No one can stop you from being all that God wants you to be. You are a child of destiny.
