God Is Always Specific With His Instructions To You

Acts 10:5 – And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter.

God is not in your life to help you fulfill your vision, but He is in your life to help you fulfill His vision.

He is not only powerful, but He is also a master strategist. He already has a strategy and it will be in your favour to align yourself with His strategy.

You see God is not a man and does not function with assumptions. Therefore, when he communicates with you, it is with precision, clarity and specific instructions.

Whether it is concerning what He wants you to do or what you prayed about, the answer is always in His word and His word is without any ambiguity.

Our theme scripture in the book of Acts 10, God saw the good deeds of a man called Cornelius, who was a devoted man but wasn’t born again. One night, in a vision, the angel of God appeared to him and gave him some specific instructions on what to do to be born again.

Acts 10: 3-8:

About the ninth hour of the day he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God who had just come in and said to him, “Cornelius!”

And fixing his gaze on him and being much alarmed, he said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and alms have ascended as a memorial before God.

 “Now dispatch some men to Joppa and send for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter;

he is staying with a tanner namedSimon, whose house is by the sea.”

When the angel who was speaking to him had left, he summoned two of his servants and a devout soldier of those who was his personal attendants,

and after he had explained everything to them, he sent them to Joppa

God’s word is His answer to your questions, prayers and desires. God won’t come down from His throne to open the gates for you; He will cause men to do it for you but it your responsibility to get the details of such men to enjoy the blessings.

We saw the same thing when God asked Noah to build the ark. The details he gave were down to the length of the nails they should use and work with.

Genesis 6:15 – And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.

You can’t afford to be indecisive when God gives you an instruction or tell you to do something. He is the God of eternity, and He already knows the beginning from the end.

He knows there are places you should never find yourself, there are jobs you shouldn’t take, and there are words you shouldn’t be listening to no matter how sweet they might look.

Let’s look at the case of Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot chose the beautiful city because everything looks all right. If he had consulted God before making his decision, he wouldn’t have found himself in the mess that he did. The bible recorded that he merely escaped with his own life because he lost everything including his family.

What instruction has God given you that you’re struggling with? What has he asked you to do that look so simple therefore you doubt if that’s what you actually wanted?

Maybe you are in a place where you need to make a life-changing decision, my advice would be to go talk to God in prayer and inquire of Him concerning the matter.
One way, you will know you are in sync is the peace that comes on you, not because everything seems alright right now but the peace that surpasses the understanding of men suddenly fill your spirit.
