God is Your Source

Many of us have been led to believe that our job or business or our parents is the source by which we can have the means, especially money, to get the kind of life we would want.

But that is not true and was never part of God plan that you have to work to be wealthy or be able to eat. The Bible clearly shows us this: “Work so you may have to give to him that needed”

That is the reason God asked you to work; so you may have to give.

God is your source – source of joy, wealth, health and everything you may ever require in this world and much more. You should look unto him for He is your help. I love the way the Psalmist puts it “I will look up to the hills where come my help; my help comes from the Lord”.

You should dare to look unto Him today for that your desire and need. Psalm 23:1 says: the Lord is your shepherd, you shall not want. If you will only trust Him to take care of you, “you will eat the good of the land”.

This is not watering down the impact of work. After all, the Bible says “he who does not work, should not eat” and “a man that cannot take care of his family is worse than an infidel”. So? You must get busy working. Find something and start doing. Because even though your job is not your source of wealth, God still wants you to give.

And He said something amazing concerning the giver; He said He “is unwilling to do without Him”. What does that connote? If you have something to give and you give it, God cannot abandon you. He will always make your supply abundant because you are giver. He is the one that “gives seed to the sower and bread for food”

As a Christian, stop looking to the government or your job as your source.  They are not your source. You are there to make an impact in peoples live and your job or business is another vehicle God has placed in your hand to preach the gospel. That is your own chariot (put scripture reference here).

What to do:

  •        Acknowledge Him as your source today
  •        Pay your tithe: I didn’t say give your tithe. It is not your own, the tithe belongs to him. Therefore you should pay it and it is only 10% of your earning. Remember, what you can’t do with 90%, you won’t still be able to do if the 10% is added back to it. But, there are blessings that come with tithing.
  •        Give your offering: Your offering should be given at the level of God’s blessing in your life. You should not give $5 if God has blessed you with the ability to give $10. Though, we have different types of offering. I am talking about your free will offering here. When special or sacrificial offering is called for, your man of God may give you specific instructions as led by the Holyghost.
  •        Speak in tongues: After you have done all the above, you have to here from God. You should move to a new level or experience a miracle in your life just as Solomon did after giving so much that God couldn’t ignore him but appear to him and ask “what do you want?”. Speaking in tongue helps clear your mind and prepare your spirit man to hear what God has to say because He will surely speak to you. Either giving you instructions or specific information.

God owns the universe, the cattle’s and every other thing are His. Don’t ever assume that your giving is to your Pastor – that is a wrong attitude and you may struggle in receiving from God if you act that way. Of course, there are seeds you should sow in your Pastors life from time to time. And also, don’t ever treat God as if He is an unnecessary disturbance to you.

He is God. And with the blast of His nostrils He parted the sea, what else in your life do you think He cannot change in an instant.

Expect a miracle today as you practice these steps.

And let’s start by sharing, leaving a comment either as a question or more light to what we have read.
God bless you.
